[oneshot] String-walkers

If you ask me what it’s like to be famous… I would I answer you “I don’t know”
I don’t know if I should tell you the truth, for it’s one unwelcome and inconvenient truth for you who wish to be me.
It’s like walking on a string that so breakable…
You walk between the black and white… no heaven above but hell below…
And you will see blood… flowing out under the glamorous outfit they put on you…
Your blood.
Irony calls people like that stars.
Reality calls us fools.
You know why?
Because we keep holding on to what our conscience hates.
I remember when I first stepped on that string.
I was young and full of hope.
They put on me things that belonged to the former string-walkers.
The fancy hair… the posh outfits…the make-up…
And a mask.
The mask that would always be smiling…
The more I cry…the more it would smile with joy…
But I told myself…
Kim Jaejoong, it’s too late…
There’s nobody to catch you when you jump off that string…
There are only two ways…
You step ahead or you fall down with exhaustion and become an useless piece of rubbish.
You think happiness is just right at the end of that string…
It looks so close…and just reach out your hands, you will get it…
But the more you walk…the tighter those fancy things will hold close to your body.
They will squeeze you to the last drop of your blood…
Until your mind goes numb and emotions go away.
And you become a real doll.
No more pains… no more hurt…
People who don’t know a thing will give you big rounds of applause, flowers, praises…
They will love you for the hair…the make-up… the outfits…
Nobody will notice your heart falling down the hell below…
Your head says you have lost too much to give up…
And you would do anything to get rid of the other string-walkers…
Because your heart is gone.
You will always be there with empty promises…
Nothing really matters.
You can cry… you can shout…you can curse…
It will all be drowned out by the laughter of your mask…
See? Nothing really matters…
You will fear the day they take away all the things they give…
Then… the doll without its golden hair, its pretty dress…
Worths no more than dust…
That’s what you think when your mask can no longer hide the tiredness on your face…
You will start looking both sides…
As to search for someone who’s watching you with tears…
For someone who calls you by your name and not your mask…
And when you’ve found one…
Don’t let go…
For she will be your hope when the string breaks…
She will catch your heart and keep it until the day you fall from the glamor scene.
Then you know…
You’re at the other end of the string.
As a doll, looking with the eyes of the others, you can never see it right.
Happiness may not be what you think you can see…
The only way to find it is to search for it using your heart.
There’s no the impossibles…
But the illusions, the limits and greeds that stop you from seeing the truth…
The question you should answer is that : “Do I have the courage to surpass those things?”
And when you can say yes…
Reality calls you stars.

at times i did think of it..
